In partnership with our community, San Diego Blood Bank’s (SDBB) Financial Development Department raises funds to support San Diego Blood Bank’s critical role in serving our diverse community with lifesaving blood services and innovative medical research. Gifts from SDBB financial donors are vital to support our mission to advance and grow the essential services we provide. Support can be designated for our greatest need fund or specific campaigns.
keep life-saving blood on the move
For the past 75 years, the dedicated financial donors of San Diego Blood Bank (SDBB) have been instrumental in saving the lives of tens of thousands of patients across Southern California. We would not have reached this remarkable anniversary milestone without you! Allow me to extend SDBB’s deepest gratitude.
Your continued support will enable us to acquire two new vans, enhancing our transportation capabilities and ensuring the efficient delivery of life-saving products to patients in need. Long-time blood donor and financial supporter, Rebecca Blakely Bashforth, will generously match $3,000 for our new vehicles. Double your impact today and support our Vehicle Campaign with your valuable gift.
Each blood donation or financial gift creates a lifeline between a donor and a patient through an act of generosity. Please consider making a gift today to help sustain our mission for another 75 years.

meet Blood recipient anjanette
After leaving a Pilates class feeling unwell, a routine call with her doctor led Anjanette to the ER, where she was diagnosed with leukemia within 48 hours. During the three years she was in treatment, she received multiple blood and platelet transfusions.
